Illustrations for Juan Villoro’s «The Wild Book»
An young readers’ book by Mexican author Juan Villoro, illustrated by Gabriel Martínez Meave
This is a very special project for me: the illustrations for the handsome, superbly written novel by one of Mexico’s remarkable writers of today, Juan Villoro (published in 2008 by Fondo de Cultura Económica, for its young readers’ collection «A la orilla el viento»). All illustrations were executed mostly in a traditional technique, graphite, with a minimum of digital interventions here and there.
