True Stories of Breaking and Entering - Each of these paintings is based on true stories of fauna breaking into and inhabiting people's homes. Some stayed for weeks. Some just dropped by for a few minutes. One unifying factor of all the stories was the incredulity that a Wild Creature had invaded Personal Space. When humans step outside, however, there doesn't seem to be the parallel feeling of invading The Wild.
I first mounted wallpaper* on board, then gessoed the area where the creature was to be painted. Next, I painted the creature in acrylic.
