If you look closely under the nearest school desk, you will likely find old dried out chewing gum. However, under very particular desks in the Cape Town region, you may find hard to fathom kEda Gomes, or more commonly, Reckless-buddah. From this vantage point, she madly scrawls her insanity onto paper, canvas and computer alike while manically sipping fine English tea through a bendy straw… of doom!

Despereaux girls and dark corners, bendy straws and tentacles. These are a few of my favourite things.
Quirky, odd or fun twists, the initial cheerful look, but closer examination tells of sombre or dark undertones. If I make you think, look again, ask questions or even make you question my sanity, then I’ve done my job well.
