Sadakos Kraniche - Children's book
- Sadakos Kraniche - Sadako's Cranes
A true story about a girl, who lived in Hiroshima - 'Sadakos Kraniche' ("Sadako's Cranes') is my first picture book. I worked on it during my study in illustration. 2011 it was published by minedition.
The story is about the japanese girl Sadako Sasaki. She lived in Hiroshima during the World War II. Later she got leukemia.
She learns of a Japanese legend which states a person who folds 1,000 paper cranes is granted a wish. In the hope of recovering, she begins folding cranes.
